what is trauma informed tattooing
Every client who walks through my door brings a life, a history, and a nervous system that deserves respect. Trauma-informed care simply means that I don't expect you to be tough, silent, or "fine". Whether you're here a consult or a tattoo, you get choice at every stage: breaks, questions, maybe just some time to think things over or chat about what's on your mind.
I work slowly, communicate clearly, and check in as we go. You're welcome to set boundaries, bring a support person, or ask for adjustments without apology. You don't owe me an explanation for your limits. You lead the experience; I follow your cues.
No judgement, no pressure, just a supportive environment where your comfort, autonomy, and body sovereignty come first.
At any point in our interactions, whether through text, email, or in person, please do not hesitate to ask questions, request clarification, or have me repeat anything you need. While you're in the studio, you may at any time ask for a break, a drink, grab your snack, request a blanket or pillow, or any other comfort that would help you feel more at ease. If it's something I can safely provide, I will gladly do so. Your comfort isn't an interruption, it's part of the process.
