Tattoo pre-care guidelines:

A comfortable, steady body makes for a smoother tattoo experience, for both of us. Here's how to set yourself up for the best possible session:

 - Come hydrated.

Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your appointment. Being hydrated helps your skin handle the tattooing process and keeps you feeling steady.

 - Eat a good meal beforehand.

Please don't come in running on fumes. Have a solid meal or at least something with protein and carbs an hour or two before your session. It helps keep your blood sugar stable and makes you much less likely to feel lightheaded.

 - Avoid tanning or sunburn right before your appointment.

Freshly tanned or burned skin cannot be safely tattooed. If you skin is irritated, tight, or peeling, we'll need to reschedule.

 - No need to shave - I've got you!

You're welcome to shave the area if you want to, but it's absolutely not required. If you do shave, be gentle and avoid razor burn. Otherwise, I'll handle it in-studio with fresh, sterile materials.

 - Come clean and lotion-free.

A quick shower is great, but skip applying heavy lotions, oils, or perfumes on the area the day of your appointment.

 - Wear something comfy.

Choose clothes that give easy access to the area being tattooed and that you won't mind getting a little ink on.

 - Bring whatever helps you feel calm.

Headphones, snacks, drinks, a hoodie, a support person - whatever keeps you relaxed and grounded is welcome.
